Requesting the doping control tests
In order to request the collection of samples of doping control tests during competitions, the organiser of the competition must contact the Anti-Doping Office of Latvia in order to specify:
1. what kind of samples it is necessary to collect (urine and/or blood samples);
2. what tests will be required for the samples;
3. to which laboratory accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency samples will have to be sent, as well as arrangements for covering these costs.
It is even necessary to arrange the availability of doping control station, as well as on the free movement of personnel involved in the competition area.
In order to apply for the collection of samples of doping control out-of-competition, the anti-doping organisation needs to contact the Anti-Doping Bureau of Latvia in order to specify:
1. what kind of analysis is necessary to collect (urine and/or blood samples);
2. what examinations will be required for the samples;
3. to which laboratory accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency samples will have to be sent, as well as arrangements for covering these costs.Payment of requested doping control sample collection
After coordinating the types of samples to be collected and the analyses to be performed on samples, as well as agreeing on the transportation of samples, it is necessary to make the necessary payments in accordance with the price list of the Anti-Doping Bureau of Latvia charge services.Collection of doping control samples
After agreeing on the collection of the necessary samples and making the necessary payments, the Anti-Doping Bureau of Latvia will carry out the collection of doping control samples in competition organised by the organiser of the event, or out-of-competition for an athlete determined, in accordance with the information available regarding the whereabouts of the athlete.
